Guizhou

Guizhou is a land locked province in southwest of China. It neighbors Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality in the north; Hunan Province to its east; Guangxi and Yunnan to its south. Much of its 170,000km2 terrain sits on Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. 92% of its land surface are either mountains or hills. The hilly terrain naturally separated many tribes and this separation, over long time, caused the development of various ethnic groups as we see today in Guizhou. This province is home to 39 million people, 40% of its total population are ethnic minorities. 18 different ethnic groups live side by side for centuries. Much of Guizhou is in warm and wet subtropical climate with distinctive four seasons. Karst land form is well developed in Guizhou province covering 40% of its total areas. Many of Guizhou’s tourism attractions are related to Karst landscape, such as Huangguoshu waterfall, Longgong (dragon’s cave) and Xiaoqikong. Apart from its natural beauty, Guizhou is famous for its diverse ethnic culture. Miao (Hmong), Tujia, Buyi, Dong culture attracts many visitors. 


Libo Zhangjiang Scenic Area

Zhangjiang is based on typical, rich and concentrated karst primitive forests and waterscape of Zhangjiang River system on Karst landform. It is characterized by a variety of landscapes, unique landscapes, magical and dense primary vegetation, rare and rare biological species, and beautiful real mountains and waters.

Jiabang-Rice-Terrace

When in May and Jun this is the time just after the farmers have planted their new crops of rice and the fields are full of water making for beautiful reflections, especially at sunrise and sunset. September through mid-October are also good months to visit, but with drastically different scenery. During the early fall months, the rice is ready for harvest and the grains have all turned a golden yellow.

Fanjing Mountain

Mount Fanjing called as the residence for Maitreya by Buddhists since ancient times makes the golden summit with rising moon and sun its center and 4 royal temples and 48 Buddhist convents scattered like stars the base to greet all people.

Huangguoshu Waterfalls Scenic Area

Huangguoshu Waterfall is the most magnificent member in the family and the only waterfall that can be viewed from above, below, front, back, left and right in the world. It is also with a water curtain cave in the back through which tourists can hear, view, and touch the waterfall.
