Ruili City, Dehong Dai & Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, located in the west of Yunnan Province, the administrative area is 944.75 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 267,638. In the total population, ethnic minorities account for 41.5% of the total population, such as Dai, Jingpo, Deang, Lisu, Achang and so on.
The northwest, southwest and southeast sides of Ruili City are connected with Myanmar's mountains and rivers, with villages facing each other. Ruili is the largest inland port in southwest China, an important jewelry distribution center and one of the first batch of excellent tourist cities in China. Ruili is also one of China's 17 international land port cities and the first stop of China-Myanmar oil and gas pipeline entering China.
● Jiegao Port is a national border trade port, and one of the busiest business areas between China and Myanmar. There are three magnificent buildings standing along the border line. The center one is the main national gate, the right is the cargo passage, and the left is the personnel passage. Visitors can buy jewelry at the duty-free shop next to the main country gate.
● Moli Rainforestation Nature Park mainly features the tropical rain forests vegetation and a spectacular waterfall. At the end of the gorge, you can see a waterfall dropping down from a cliff more than 60 meters high. There is a hot spring in the valley. It's said that this was the bathing pool built by the wild elephant for the Buddha. Besides, there is a Buddha footprint painted with gold powder, famous in the Buddhist community in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
● Built in the 17th century, the Jiele Golden Pagoda is composed of a main pagoda with 16 small ones. The main pagoda is 39.5 meters (129.6 feet) high and cone-shaped with the body built of the golden tiles. The other cone-shaped pagodas are painted with gold powder. There are wind bells at the top of each pagoda. This pagoda is one of the most famous pagodas in Southeast Asia. What’ more, a 3-day long Buddha fair will be held during the annual Water-sprinkling Festival from April 12th to 15th every year.
● Located in the northwest of Ruili Yunnan, Ruili Border Trade Street is the largest and most lively border market in Yunnan Province. Visitors are able to buy a wide range of goods such as wood carvings, leather, textile and handicrafts with local Dai characteristics and jades. It is better for tourists to purchase jade products carefully to avoid being cheated. Tourists can also taste the Chinese and Burmese specialties here.
● The “A Village in Two Countries” scenic spot is about 10 kilometers away from the downtown of Ruili City. It is located beside No. 71 Boundary Pillar as China-Myanmar border. It is a typical geographical wonder of “A Village in Two Countries”. A village is divided into two parts by the national boundary line, the part in China is Yinjing Village, the other part in Myanmar is Mangxiu Village. The borders are constituted by bamboo fences, village roads, ditches and low banks of earth between fields.

With leaves folded into spoon and basin for soup, because it is all full green on the table, all without chopsticks hence the name. One by one to open the "green packages" : fragrant glutinous rice, delicious houttuynia, bee pupa poached eggs, flying ant pancakes, fried green turtle doves, rolling pickled cabbage fish and so on.
Airport: Ruili city is close to Mangshi airport(92km/1.20hrs), there are flights to Kunming and other cities.
Railway: Dali-Ruili Railway and Ruili railway station are under construction.
Highway: A highway network with national and provincial highways as the main line, urban areas as the center and city and township highways as branch lines has been formed, which can reach all parts of Yunnan Province and to Myanmar.
Ruili belongs to the south Asian tropical monsoon climate, with two seasons of drought and rain throughout the year, basically without frost. The annual average temperature is 21 ℃, the annual precipitation is 1,394.8 mm and the annual average sunshine is 2,330 hours. Winter without cold, summer without heat, flowers in four seasons, fruit all year round.
