The Qilian mountain is to the south of Hexi Corridor, is a northern outlier of the Kunlun Mountains, forming the border between Qinghai and the Gansu provinces of northern. The grasslands of the Qilian Mountains are pleasant and are spread with virgin forests throughout the county. There are six scenic spots, including Zhuo’er Hill, Ami Dongsuo Peak, the Deer Farm, Qilian Grasslands, Arou Grand Lamasery and ladong gorge. The Average altitude of Qilian Mountain ranges in the 4000 meters to 5000 meters above sea level, mountain snow formed a long and wide glacier landscape which is magnificent spectacle. Saussurea involucrata, silkworm, snow mountain grass are collectively known as the “three durable plants in winter” in Qilian Mountain snow line. 

The primeval forest of Qilian Mountain scenic area is very charming. After the summer begins, among hills is a vast green sea.There are 150,000 hectares and 2.000.000 cubic meters of forest within. It is one of greater forest areas in the Qinghai Province and various trees grow here such as spruce, sabina and poplar. Tourists can enjoy the thick forests, snow-capped peaks and roaming deer frolicking around.
Damaying Grassland lies in the basin of Yanzhi Mountain and Qilian mountain. Between July and August of every year, Qilian Mountain connects with the grassland in strips of green and white. Spacious green waves are covered with snow and interspersed horses, cattle and sheep all flock in the snow. 

Zhuo'er Mountain is located on the northeastern side of Haibei Prefecture's Qilian County, close to the Babao River, and faces the Shenshan Niushan Mountain in the Tibetan area. Zhuo’er Mountain is one of the typical areas of the danxia landform, which is made up of red sandstone and conglomerate. It is called ZongMuMa glaze in Tibetan language, and stands for the beauty of the red queen. Bare outcroppings of red sandstone stick up from the green vegetation of the grasslands. 

The sight is both distinctive and beautiful,from June to August, the grasslands are green and green. The exposed areas of the mountains are red sandstones, which are intertwined with the green grassland and have beautiful scenery.

The forests, rapeseeds, villages and county towns on both sides of the mountain range have a strong sense of landscape and are the photographer’s favorite. Standing at the top of Zhuo’er Hill, there is nothing will ever around and you will have a extremely broad vision. Acrossing the mountain is the Beef Heart Mountain which have total different scenery in different season. At the left and right sides of the gorge there is hole and poplar ditch scenic area. Qilian mountain is at it’s back. At the foot of the mountain river flooding like a white silk around the county surrounding. Everything looks like a fairyland. Legend has it that Zhuo’er mountain and cow heart mountain is a pair of lovers, which silently standing at the both side of Babao Rive to protect the mountains and waters in Qilian.

In addition to its own scenery, Zhuo'er Mountain is also a platform for visitors to view the surrounding countryside. Opposite to Niuxin Mountain, with its year-round snow-capped visage, the view from Zhuo'er’s peak is vast and expansive.
