Itinerary
Day 1 : Arr Lyingchi

Welcome to the “Switzerland of Tibet” Nyingchi! You will be picked up by local tour guide at the airport hall, and then be escorted to your hotel in a private vehicle.
The rest of today is free for you to acclimatize the altitude and explore surroundings.

Day 2 : Lyingchi (BLD)

Spots:Lulang Forest. Niyang River Scenery

Drive along the well-paved 318 National Road to beautiful Lulang Forest, stop at Sekyim la Pass and take a distance view of Mt. Namjia Bawa. explore the best highlight of today - Lulang Forest. It is a 15km long, 1km wide narrow valley of wild forests and flowers, grasslands and streams. On the both sides of the valley are lofty green mountains covered by prosperous spruce, pine trees and brush. At the foot of the mountain are the beautiful meadows and villages. Winding streams flow through among the wooden houses. Wild flowers of different colors dot on the meadows. Look into distance over the valley are enormous snow-capped mountains. All these sceneries make Lulang a dream land.

Then back to Nyingchi, enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Niyang River.

Day 3 : LyingChi–Lhasa (BLD)

Spots:Basomtso Lake.

Visit Basomtso Lake and enjoy the beautiful views there in the morning. Basomtso Lake, 3,500 meters above sea level,  this spectacular lake lies in the mid-upper reaches of the Bar River, one of the main tributaries of the Niyang River in Nyingchi.

Snow-covered mountains, glaciers and trees are reflected upon the lake’s rippling surface. There are small islands in the middle of the lake with Buddhist temples built upon them.

After visiting the lake, the rest of the day is spent traveling to Lhasa, the Tibetan capital, passing through some of the most stunning landscapes in eastern Tibet, and passing over the beautiful Mila Mountain Pass, with its three stone yak sculptures at the crest.

Day 4 : Lhasa (BLD)

Spots:Potala Palace. Jokhang temple. Barkhor street

Whole day’s city tour in Lhasa, visit Potala Palace in the morning, which is the winter palace of the Dalai lama. It was put to use since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet. The most valuable collections of Potala Palace are the gilded burial stupas of former Dalai Lamas and meditation Cave of the 33rd great king of Tibet.

Then after lunch, head to Jokhang temple which was founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century. Around the temple is Barkhor street, where you can do kora (a religious circle of a building or mountain) with pilgrims and locals, and explore the old market.

Day 5 : Lhasa–Shigatse (BLD)

Spots:Yamdork Lake. Pelkor Monastery

After fully explore Lhasa, you’ll have a chance to get lost in the endless Tibetan landscape while you take a short hike along the turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok, one of the four holy lakes in Tibet.Afterwards pass by the 5,010 m high Karo-la and the Simi La forward to Gyantse (3,950m). Visit Pelkor Monastery which was built in the15th century and situated in the northwestern edge of Gyantse.

Then drive about 90 kilometers to Shigatse , the second largest city in Tibet and the traditional capital of the Tsang.

Day 6 : Shigatse–Lhasa (BLD)

Spots:TashiLhunpo monastery

Visit the famous TashiLhunpo monastery, the seat of Tibet's second highest incarnation, the Panchen Lama. In this monastery, you can see the well preserved largest statue of Jampa (future god) in the world.

After visiting Tashilhunpo Monastery, drive back to Lhasa through the friendship Highway. The 280 km’s journey takes about 6 hours along the Yarlung Tsangpo River.

Day 7 : Lhasa DEP (B)

Today is free for you until your tour guide transfer you to the airport in time for your flight or drop you off at Lhasa train station.

You can take your time selecting many special items full of Tibetan characteristics, such as Thangka paintings, Tibetan blankets, famous medicines, and specialties from many places in Tibet, or just hang out in some local well protected old city, some meaningful historic sites near Barkhor Street to feel the strong culture in Lhasa. 

Tips of Today: 

1) please pack your luggage carefully, especially for small things like camera charger, power adaptor, mobile phone, phone charger, wallet and towel;
2) If your flight is arranged in the afternoon, please make sure you check out the hotel before 12pm.
