Welcome to Urumuqi! You will be picked up by local tour guide at the airport hall, and then be escorted to your hotel in Urumuqi city in a private vehicle.
After check in, you can hang out around Urumuqi City which holds the record for the remotest major city in the world 2,500 km from the nearest sea.

Start the tour in the morning after breakfast,the first stop will be Bole, pass through desolate Gobi scenery along the way. visit Aibi lake wetlands after arr, Largely surrounded by mountains, Aibi Lake sits at the bottom of a drainage basin with no outlet, Aibi Lake is a perfect place for birds and other animals to live and thrive, there are lush grasses in summer and reed catkins in fall，the birds are flying above the lake. Stay at Aibi lake Hotel nearby for night.

Spots:Syaram Lake, Guozigou Bridge, Huocheng Lavender Plantation

Breakfast serve at hotel, then drive around 1.5hours to Sayram Lake.It’s both the largest and highest alpine lake in all of Xinjiang, but that doesn’t matter to travelers as much as the amazing views, Sayram Lake is surrounded by grasslands, guarded by the snow-capped TianShan and covered by an endless blue sky.

Then go ahead to Yining via Guozigou valley,the road which passes through the Fruit Valley (果子沟) between Yining and Sayram Lake boasts one of the most incredible bridges in all of China,the entire road is a feast of visual beauty.

Visit Huocheng Lavender Plantation on the way, Since early June, all the lavenders blossomed, and Huocheng is full of romantic ocean, full of strong Lavender fragrance. Lavender has a short flowering period and will wither in about a month.

Spots:Kazanqi Handicraft Market, ZHaosu Rapeseed flowers flied

Visit Kazanqi Handicraft Market in the morning, it’s an interesting place to stop in the city, aside from the old Hui mosque, the Kazanqi market is a pleasant place for an afternoon stroll in Yining. There are plenty of souvenirs to buy (leather shoes, animal skins, horse riding gear, etc.) in addition to the variety of snacks and fruits to buy.

Then set off to Zhaosu County via Yining-Zhaosu highway, winding through open farmland and grasslands, after arr, visit the rapeseed flowers. Around 67,000 hectares of rapeseed flowers are cultivated annually in Zhaosu County ,with a flowering period of about 30 days in July, a splendid view of golden Rapeseed flowers covered the vast fields.

Spots:Xiata scenic area

The main schedule today is Xiata scenic area , Xita boasts canyons, glaciers, and hot springs among its natural treasures, and is home to ancient trade roads and ruins,it's also a popular hiking destination in China.The Xia’a Ancient Road is the most dangerous passage of the Silk Road. It connects the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains and climbs over the wooden Zalte Daban on the main ridge of the Tianshan Mountains. It then reaches the Aksu area in southern Xinjiang.

Spots: Tekes Eight Trigram County, Qiongkushitai Village

Travel to the Tekes Eight Trigram County in the morning, this county is famous for its radial circle layout which looks like a labyrinth. It is the biggest and the most well preserved eight trigram county in the world.

Then go ahead to Qiongkushitai Village, which is governed by Kaladala Village, Tekes County, Ili and some about 300 Kazakh families live in this village, it is a place for tourists to experience the Kazakh folk customs.  

Located on the snowcapped peaks of middle Tianshan Mountains, surrounded by mountains and lakes, this place used to be very quiet, with a few people living a nomadic life.Feels to be a paradise, Qiongkushitai is known for its idyllic beauty, unique wooden buildings and villagers' original lifestyles.

After arr, free and easy to explore the once isolated village, to feel a pastoral life, at the foot of the Tian Shan Mountains. 

TIPS: there is no hotel in Qiongkushitai Village, the only choose is local farmstay or inns, but we will make sure it's clean and comfortable with private washroom.

Spots:Scenery along the trekking trail

It will be the most challenging day today, you will hike around 18km from Qiongkushitai Village to Kalajun grassland.

Qiongkushitai Village is also the starting point of the famous Wusun Ancient Road, and it can reach the Kalajun grassland in about 8 hours, will trek through alpine grasslands, primeval forests, cliffs, river valley and climb high mountains, the road will be muddy and slippery after rain, but your endeavours will be highly rewarded by the most spectacular scenery of the whole journey. stay on the prairie for the night, the only choice is nomads’ yurts with Kazakh characteristics. 

Spots:Kalajun Grassland

Spend some time roaming on the grassland in the morning, dark green primeval forests, white yurts of herders, sheep flocking on the open grassland, snow-capped mountains and colorful wildflowers, all come together here in front of ur eyes. You can also enjoy the sunrise view if you can get up early. after that take sightseeing bus to go out and head to Nalati, Owing to its high altitude and steep terrain, it is also called ‘The Sky Grassland’. check in hotel and free program after arr.

Spots:Bayanbulak Grassland, Swan Lake Natural Reserve

Today's private visit will cover the Bayanbulak Grassland and the Swan Lake Natural Reserve, it’s about 80km from Nalati town.The Bayanbulak Grassland is the second largest grassland in China boasting luxuriant verdant grass, numerous flocks of sheep and varied plants. The Swan Lake is located in this grassland. Actually, it is made of a group of small lakes. You could go up to the Bird Watch Platform built there to appreciate the splendid spectacle of swans, lakes, mountains, clouds and blue sky. After that, back to Nalati for overnight.

Spots:Duku highway scenery

Head to kuitun via Duku highway, although will take around 6hours, you will not feel boring. Duku Highway, one of China's most beautiful stretches of road, the Highway seems like a dragon lying in Tianshan Mountain linking between roads in south and north Xinjiang and many areas inhabited by ethnic minorities, runs through glaciers, forests, grasslands and various landforms, the road itself is the scene, it will makes you feel shocked and impressed and you can enjoy the dangerous pleasure of driving. Will arr Kuitun by the late afternoon.

Spots:Kuitun Grand Canyon

Transfer to visit Kuitun Grand Canyon(or called Dushanzi Grand Canyon) in the morning,the Grand Canyon runs quietly in the upper reaches of Kuitun River, where ice and snow melt in Tianshan Mountains. It is like a carved Canyon ravine, with nine meanders, rocky cliffs and spectacular scenery. The bottom of the canyon is composed of three streams, the confluence of the three rivers, forming a unique landscape. Cliffs have many colors, such as red, brown and black, forming a gorgeous Canyon ravine.

Then back to Urumqi in the afternoon, free and easy to have a rest after check in hotel.
