01. Li River

Li River passes Guilin City and flows towards Yangshuo.  Li River is  a tributary of Zhujiang River. The length of Li River starts from the city of Guilin to Yangshuo, about 83km of waterway. Li River is one of the most beautiful rivers in the world.

The 80-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo resembles an artists’s masterpiece, painted with rolling mountains, featuring karst cliffs, unique caves, and lush fields. The 80-km water-way is flanked by the hills for about 40km.

02. Longji Rice Terraces

Although rice terraces wind their way around mountains throughout China, the Longji Rice Terraces are considered to be the most magnificent of them all. They are located in Longsheng County, about 100 kilometres outside of Guilin, and the Terraces are the culmination of both the profound wisdom and strenuous labor of the Zhuang people.

The Longji Rice Terraces is a beautiful natural picture. The linked together rice terraces vary from season to season. In spring, the water is irrigated into the fields and the terraces look like great chains or ribbons hung on the hillsides. When the onset of summer, green waves rush continuously down the mountainside from the heaven. The theme of autumn is the harvest, with the mountainside decorated with the gold of ripened millet. Coming into winter, the whole mountain will be covered with white snow, just like dragons playing with water.

03. Detian Waterfall

Ranks as the largest waterfall in Asia and the fourth largest transnational waterfall in the world, Detian Waterfall is located in the Detian village, Shuolong Town, Daxin Coutny, Chongzuo City near Nanning City with its splendid scenery.

The Detian Waterfall is over 200 meters wide and has a drop of more than 70 meters. The average annual flow of the waterfall is 50 cubic meters per second, and the geology of the area is thick layered dolomite. Its water rushes down a three-tiered cliff with tremendous force. The fall is awe-inspiring, and its thunder is audible before it even comes into view.

Surrounded by picturesque karst peaks,visitors can enjoy the cascade groups, boating, or fishing at the foot of the mountains.

04. Huangyao Ancient Town

Huangyao Ancient Town is the one of the most popular destinations for foreign travelers. About 200km far from Guilin, located in the Northeast of Zhaoping County town, this town has a history more than hundreds of years.  

Being surrounded by karst peaks and traversed by streams, Huangyao Ancient Town is repute as "a dreamland for families". Covering a total area of 3.6 square kilometers. The town has eight main streets, stretching out in eight different directions, forming a giant “Eight Trigrams” from a bird’s eye view. The folk houses are situated mainly along Longpan Street and Zhongxing Street. Here all dwellings of the same family name are centered on their ancestral hall.Here you can see more than 30 temples, ancestral halls and pavillions all well preserved. With fabulous mountains, caves, pavilions, temples, ancestor hills, old trees and tablets, every corner of Huang Yao town shows typical Chinese features.

05. Mingshi Tianyuan

Mingshi Tianyuan is a scenic area featuring beautiful mountains and rivers with a  nickname of ” Little Guilin Landscape”.  I t is located in Daxin County, about 210 km west of Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi.

The 20 square  km scenic area is featured by karst peaks and lush rivers dotted with villages, bridges and paddy fields,  farmers plowing,  herding children playing water, a picturesque pastoral painting of the Northern China.

Biking, boating or strolling around this fairy tale wondrous area is a rare opportunity for those seeking mesmerizing pastoral landscapes.

06. Weizhou Island

Weizhou Island is a volcanic island located 21 nautical miles south from Beihai City, Guangxi Province. In 2005, it was named one of the "Ten Most Beautiful Islands in China" by China National Geographic Magazine. On the south side of Weizhou Island are the high and steep unique volcanic lava landforms. On the north side are the open and smooth coastal beaches.

Seen from above, it is a bow-shaped piece of green jade floating in the sea. Covered by luxuriant vegetation, this island also houses special sea erosion landscapes, volcanic lava, colorful coral and wide beaches.

07. Yangshuo

Yangshuo is located on the banks of the Li River just south of Guilin. Known for its hauntingly beautiful karst mountains, unique caves, and Chinese delicacies.

The small town is nestled in the center of mountains that encircle it like the petals of a lotus. The small town with unique charm is crossed by the Li River. 08. Tongling Grand Canyon

Tongling Grand Canyon Scenic Spot is located in Lake run Town, Baise City, Guangxi, Jingxi.
