Tibet is a real natural museum of plants, hosting the genes of numerous plant species, which form a showcase of the entire Asian plant life. 

With an altitude of 3700 m, Lulang Forest Sea is a typical plateau-mountain-meadow narrow strip land with a length of 15 kilometers and an average width of 1 kilometer. 

LuLang means  “a place that will make you forget your home” in Tibetan language. It is located by the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, about 80 km from Nyingchi County. It is 1 of the best spot to watch the Namjagbarwa (the highest peak in Nyingchi with an elevation of 7782 meters). 

Lulang Forest is not only a forest, but is also a meadow, a pasture, as well as a place where local people live from generation to generation. Lulang Forest is noted for their natural beauty and exceptional views，The mountains on both sides boast various of plant species, such as bushes, spruces and pines, and in between is a reach of meadow. With the flower sea in the meadow and the Tibetan-featured houses around, the whole scenery is as beautiful as a fairyland that hasn’t been influenced by outside world at all. It is difficult to find a place where landscapes of glaciers, mountains, canyons, meadows, forests, rivers and lakes coexist with each other， yet it is called Tibet's 'Mini Switzerland'.

Lulang Forest shows special breathtaking scenery in every season. 

Summer is a season of full-blown flowers all over the forest and meadow, diversified blooming wild flowers of Primula, Aster, Grass Plum Flower, Pedicularis, etc, you can see an emerald green Lulang Forest. 

You can see a colorful Lulang Forest in autumn. leaves of trees turn from green to yellow, and then to red from the mountain foot to the top in both sides, while the meadow is still green. you can see a most colorful Lulang Forest.

In winter, Lulang Forest will become a white world. the forest will be like a sleeping snow doll during this period.  distant naked peaks that are covered with pure white snows as well as the splendid glaciers add beauty to the virgin forest of Lulang and its villages and streams. Those who like snow scenes can go to Nyingchi at this time to feel the tranquility of Lulang Forest.
