​Mingyue International Ceramic Art Village

Mingyue International Ceramic Art Village is located in Ganxi Town of Pujiang County, an ancient post on theTea-Horse Road of theTang and Song dynasties.The village has8,000mu of Phyllostachy spraecox,3,000mu of ecological tea garden,four ancient Qiong kilns(one of the famous folk porcelain kilnsin China)and other resources.Themed“porcelain culture”and based on Mingyue International Ceramic Art Culture Creation Park,acultural, ecological and vocational village has been built that combines production and sales, culture exhibition, creative experience, leisure  sports, meditation,health maintenance,and pastoral vacation.The first 10 cultural and creative projects,such as Mingyue Kiln,Shushan Mountain Kiln Ceramic Art Museum,Sunshine Work shop,Fire Stove Kiln Workshop,and Qingquan Pottery Workshop,have been completed and open to public.

In this stop, you can take about 2hours to learn how to make a pottery object by wheel thrown forming method, which is a method of using the centrifugal force when the runner rotate rapidly, and using two hands to control the direction of the pressurization, so that the clay is shaped according to the required deformation. When the runner rotate rapidly, the mud is continuously pulled up to make various ceramic works in all kinds of shapes, such as straight cylinders, circles, plates, bowls, pots, vase,etc.
