Sichuan Province is adjacent to the Eastern part of Tibet which makes Tibet accessible by road, traversing through the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The Sichuan-Tibet route is the most spectacular and beautiful road in the history of Tibet!This Highway has been divided into two distinct parts, one of which is known as the Southern Route and the other road is known as the Northern Route.

The Sichuan-Tibet Highway Northern Route is the highest and longest part of this legendary highway. It is a route full of Tibetan cultural and religious charm, at a distance of around 2,412 kilometers, the Northern Route takes around two weeks to traverse.and many Tibetan culture lovers would prefer this route.
The towering snow-capped mountains, turbulent rivers, wide and beautiful grasslands, snow-white and beautiful tents, prayer flags swaying in the wind, and golden temples along the way,the plateau areas are dotted with castellated Tibetan homes and an infinite number of contentedly munching yaks.
This route also takes you through some of the most beautiful countryside, and into towns and villages where you can explore the more ancient Tibetan monasteries, most notably Larung Gar Buddhist Academy and Derge Parkhang, with many local people still living in the same way as they did in the days of Songtsen Gampo.

01. Mount Siguniang (Mount Four Sisters)
Mount Siguniang which locates in the bordering area of Xiaojin County and Wenchuan County in Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province is the highest peak of Eastern Hengduan Range. Mount Siguniang, which is well-known for its grandness, straightness and forcefulness, is also called the Chinese Alps for its similar layout of the South European scenery. And it is a natural forest area rich in abundant forest, thick green grass and clear flowing rivers.
02. Danba Tibetan Village
Danba Tibetan Villages, a retreat from the world, are known as the most beautiful villages all over China. They are located at Danba County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province and famed for unique architectures. In the past, the typical buildings there were Zhaifang and Diaolou, which respectively refers to stockade houses and watchtowers. As time goes by, the two kinds of constructions integrate with each other and form the distinctive Tibetan style folk houses we see today.
03. Tagong Grassland
Tagong Grassland, located in Tagong Town, Kangding at an elevation of 3730 meters, is about 113 kilometers away from Kangding. Back against to the famous Yala Snow Mountain, Tagong Grassland is a very flat terrain with plenty water and lush grass, as well as flocks and herds of wild and domestic animals. Besides, there are also some great scenic spots such as Tagong Temple, Muya Gold Tower and Yala Snow Mountain.
04. Xinluhai Lake
Xinluhai Lake is located in Dege County, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. There is Chola Shan Mountain in Xinluhai Lake are that has the highest peak and huge glacier and it is 6,018 meters high and covered by snow.
There are different flora and fauna around the lake such as coniferous forests include fir, cypress trees, spruce, and rhododendron trees and large grassland. 05. Chola Mountains
The Chola Mountains or Trola Mountains, are a northern subrange of the Shaluli Mountains in western Sichuan Province,China. The mountains were once at the centre of the Kingdom of Derge and many remnant Tibetan Buddhist monasteries can be found in the mountain range's valleys.
In the local Tibetan language “Chola Mountain” means the mountain where the eagle cannot fly. Its spectacular scenery is second to none in all of China’s six-thousand-meter mountain peaks. In the mountains surrounding the area, there are more than 20 peaks of more than 5,000 meters.
06. Dege Parkhang Sutra-Printing House
The Parkhang Sutra-Printing House is located in Gonchen Monastery, a Sakya Sect buddhist monastery in Dege. It is the largest one among the three large printing houses in Tibetan areas.
The printing house still retains the original manual engraving printing method now.From the traditional Tibetan architecture to the warp shelf stacked with wood engravings and exquisite frescoes, sculptures, are precious cultural relics. In today's world, it is unique to have the complete preservation of more than 290,000 printing plates. The printing house as a world cultural heritage is well deserved.
07.Qamdo Zizhu Temple
Zizhu Temple is located on the famous sacred mountain-Zizhu Mountain in Shagong Township, Dêngqên County, Qamdo Prefecture. The average altitude of Zizhu Mountain is more than 4,800 meters, and it was built 3,000 years ago, It's a temple located on the cliff on the top of the mountain,
Zizhu Temple is also the largest temple with the largest number of believers and the most complete preservation of Bon religious instruments in Kangqu district. Buddhist halls, chapels, and monks' dorms are scattered on the top of the six peaks, making it one of the highest temples in Tibet. It is also one of the oldest and most important temples of the Yongzhong Bon religion.
08. Namtso Lake
Located in Damshung County, Nagqu Prefecture, Namtso Lake is often described as being next to heaven because of its lofty altitude, stunning beauty, pure blue water, and spiritual associations.
It is the highest saltwater lake in the world. Snow-capped mountains and open grassland, dotted with yak herds and local nomads, surround the crystal clear water of Lake Nam, making it one of the most beautiful places in Tibet.
09. Lhasa
Lhasa, a holy city located at the roof of the world, is known as " the city of sunshine" and " the land of Gods". Honored with a long history of 1300 years, Lhasa is quite rich in unique cultural and spiritual resources, especially its Buddhism culture.
