Xiling Snow Mountain is located in Dayi County，Chengdu,Sichuan Province,which covers a total area of 483 ㎡, with altitude 1260—5364m, Its peak, Daxuetang is 5364meters high and is capped with snow all year round, which is the highest mountain in Chengdu.

The highest temperature in summer is 25℃, and the lowest temperature is -6℃. The snow cover period is from November to the end of the next March every year. The snow cover is above 60cm thick with excellent quality snow, it forms the unique spectacle of sea and snow plain in southern area, is honored as the "Alps in the East".

Xiling Snow Mountain landscape features with original, natural, wild and wooly. Standing in Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort, you can have a bird's-eye view of the whole Xiling Mountain. The 2500-meter-long gondola cable connecting Riyueping and the ski resort enables you to enjoy the sea of clouds, sunrise, sunset, the beautiful Yinyang Jie and Buddha halo.

The Yin Yang Boundary of Xiling Snow Mountain is an amazing natural phenomenon in Baishagang, which is a dividing ridge. It is a watershed, and the boundary between the different climates, its western part is Qnghai-Tibet plateau climate that is cold and dry, the east is the basin climate that is warm and moist. The two different airstreams from two sides meet at Baishagang and form the unique phenomenon of one side is bright sky, light blue days; On the other side is cloud and steaming fog, hazy and give the visitors mystery of the infinite daydream, hence the name Yin Yang Boundary.
