Wuxu Lake (Wuxuhai Scenic Spot) is located in the west of Gongga Mountain, north of Jiulong County, 25 kilometers from Jiulong County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. With an average altitude of 3,500 meters, Inside the area, you can see the overlapping mountains, ravines as well as southwest-toward snow-capped mountain.

In the past few years, there have been 40 developed tourism spots. At here, it is a concentration of mountains, canyon, stone forest, virgin forest, grassland, wild animals ect. However, the main attractions inside are snow mountain peaks, Buddha peak, the elderly peak, twelve sisters peak and so on. The beautiful Wuxu Lake is quiet and magical. Amazingly, it still maintains the original ecology.

"Wuxu Lake" is a slang of Tibet means "A Lake of Brilliance", 3760m above sea-level and the deepest point is about 33m. Absorbing the melted glacier water down from the mountains, Wuxu Lake is a natural glacial lake where beautiful views appear in all season even in winter when the lake is totally iced..

The lake flows into the Wuxu valley from southeast and remits to Jiulong River. In the south and north of Wuxu Lake, there stand two comb-shaped mountains. They look majestic and spectacular. In the west, there is the Languze Snow Mountain.

Wuxu Lake is described by locals as "a mirror for fairies' dressing". The lake is surrounded by primeval forests and wide meadows, the water is green and transparent and the environment is quiet.

From summer to autumn, all kinds of flowers bloom and compete with each other. Ancient trees with tangled roots and tangled branches climb along the edge, azalea trees reach out to the lake, making Wuxu look primitive and simple. Place yourself in meantime, as if enter fairyland. The Twelve Fairy Peaks are beautiful, fairy shaped and distant. There are many natural wonders around the lake, such as the Tiansheng Bridge, the Oxnose Cave, the waterfalls and the huge ancient glacial boulders.

Here, the folk customs are primitive and simple, the buildings of the Tibetan village are old and there are many legends and fairy tales.
