Nalati Tourism Scenic Area, located in Xinyuan County, Xinjiang, is located in the hinterland of Tianshan Mountain, at the eastern end of the Ili River Valley, with a total planned area of 960 square kilometers. 
At the borders of Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia, Nalati grassland is one of the highest prairies in China and also one of the four largest grasslands in the world. According to Turks, Naraty means the first place to see the sun. 

Nalati grassland is a typical alpine meadow and subalpine meadow landform with snow mountains, plateau, forests, meadows and rivers. The grassland in the sky, the myth of the world, the beautiful Xinjiang, the colorful Nalati. This is the best interpretation of the Nalati prairie in Xinjiang.

Nalati Air Grassland

The average elevation of summer pasture is 2200 metres, which ranks first in the grassland of the whole Ili Valley. Therefore, Narati grassland is also known as "aerial grassland". It is an Inter mountain basin with beautiful grass, fertility and water. Every June to August are the golden season of summer pasture, the vast expanse of lush grassland is dotted with colorful wild flowers. The surrounding snow mountains, white clouds, blue sky make this grassland more charming. In winter, the grassland showcases another look. Ski or take the horse-drawn sledge brings you endless enjoyment.

River Valley Grassland

The River Valley grassland, also known as Panlong Valley Road, it has rich land form, dense vegetation, abundant streams, warm climate and many grasslands on slopes, which is the favourite pasture of Kazakhs. when you visiting the grassland, you can not only appreciate the winter nests scattered among the valleys and jungles, but also see the yurts of herdsmen on the two sloping grasslands, these elegant blue-and-white domes, which enjoyed the reputation of "grassland palace", are dotted under the blue sky and white clouds, among the green forests, and that is quite magnificent.

Kazakh Folk Customs 

You can not only enjoy the scenery of snow berg, forests and wild flowers, but also experience traditional Kazakh culture.
This pastoral valley is usually inhabited by nomadic Kazakhs half of the year. In this floral carpet, graze sheep and cattle nomads while some are busy training falcons to be used later for hunting. Their camps still arranged as traditional yurts blends perfectly into the lush landscape where rivers meander Nalati amid temporary dwellings. In winter, the prairie is buried under snow, but in the spring, it is viewed as an enchanting landscape. The nomads then offer excursions on horseback in the middle of its immense steppes. From June to September, many activities are held in this ‘Cradle of Kazaks’. The hospitable Kazak herdsmen receive guests with their particular custom and culture.
