Mingyue Village, meaning bright moon village belongs to Ganxi Town, Pujiang County, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It is located in the shallow hilly area of Damianshan Mountain at the intersection of Pujiang, Qionglai and Mingshan counties. It is in a shallow hilly area.

The village covers an area of 6.78 square kilometers with a forest coverage rate of 46.2%. It has 15 village groups, 723 households and 2,218 people in the village. The village has initially formed a development model with tea and thunder bamboo as the leading industries and the village's economy and society is developing rapidly.

There are more than 10,000 mu(approx 667 hectares) of thunder bamboo in Ganxi town, mainly distributed in Mingyue Village, Xinmin Village and Longquan Community. Thunder bamboo shoots sell well in and out of the city, known as the Western Town of Thunder Bamboo Shoots.

Mingyue Village, 90 kilometers from downtown Chengdu, a station on the Tea-Horse Ancient Road in Sui and Tang dynasties(581-649AD) and the Silk Road in the south. 

Six thousand mu(approx 400 hectares) of ecological thunder bamboos ripple like green waves, two thousand mu(approx 133 hectares) of ecological tea fields stack the green mountains. Song Dynasty moonlight shines on the boundless pine forest, poetic life embraces the green mountains. More than 40 cultural and creative projects scatter in the tea valleys and pine forests. More than 100 ceramists, artists and designers live in the countryside. The new villagers and the aborigines help each other and integrate to create a happy and beautiful new village.

Visitors can enjoy bamboo shoots, stay in B&B and experience the artistic life in the rural areas. They can also experience the pleasure of handmade pottery in the courtyard of ceramic artists such as Mingyue Kiln, Shushan Kiln, Huoheng Chai Kiln and Zhangjia Ceramic Art. They can also ride bicycles among pine forest, bamboo sea and tea gardens, taste authentic rural ecological food such as spring bamboo shoot banquet, tofu pudding rice, farm chicken and so on.
