Luodai ancient town is located in Luodai Town, Longquanyi district of Chengdu, only 18 km from downtown Chengdu, 10 kilometers north of Longquan Town, is the most intact hakka ancient town near Chengdu.

Luodai was established in years of the Three Kingdoms and is a provincial level ancient town with profound culture, most of the existent architectures are in the style of the late Qing dynasty.

There are more than 20,000 Hakka people settled in this town, making up nearly 90% of the local population.  it is praised as “World’s Luodai and Eternal Hakka” and The Hakka Town in West China.

The Hakka refers to a kind of Han ethnic group, which is a large part of many south China cities. Long ago they migrated from their hometown to others parts of China, and even outside China.Its Hakka culture is preserved well anywhere you may feel the strong Hakka culture.The reforeit enjoys a reputation of First Hakka Town in the West . In Luodai there are many ancient architectual reclusters including Guangdong Guild hall, Jiangxi Guild hall, and Huguang Guildhall etc.

With very thick, ancient culture, the one thousand year old street and hakka folk houses in town are well-preserved, old street is in the pattern of "a street with seven alleys".Now except these old buildings, Luodai Ancient Town has become a part of the Chengdu city. Chengdu citizens often come here at the weekend, wine and dine, playing mahjong, the locals always say that Luodai Ancient Town is the back garden of Chengdu people. In Luodai Ancient town, there are a lot of frontage teahouses, just sit down for a cup of tea, a few people gather together to play mahjong, it is very comfortable.

Golden Dragon Great Wall, or Luodai Great Wall, is a imitative young great wall located in Jinlong Town of Luodai.It is 1680 meter in length, 4 meter in height and 3 meter in width with 5 beacon towers. At the entrance stands a memorial archway inscribed with many lifelike dragons. you can hike along the great wall, reaching to the summit, you can make pilgrimage in Jinlong Temple. It is said that Jinlong Great Wall is a dragon and Jinlong Temple is the head.The scenery along the way is very pleasant with verdant trees by both sides. This is a good place for having a leisurely walk.
