Pingle Ancient Town is located 93 kilometers southwest of Chengdu and 18 kilometers southwest of Qionglai City. It is a famous historical and cultural town in China. The Baimu River which originates from Yuxiao Peak of Tiantai Mountain flows through the ancient town from west to north. The old banyan trees of Pingle ancient town, the Baimu River, the Diaojiao buildings along the river, the bluestone paved streets and the boundless bamboo sea have cultivated the idyllic landscape feelings of the people of Pingle ancient town for thousands of years, and nurtured the natural and fresh local culture of Pingle.

As early as 150 BC in the Western Han Dynasty, Pingle Ancient Town has formed a market town, so far it has a history of more than 2,000 years. Since ancient times, Pingle has become "the first town on the Tea Horse Ancient Road and the first post station on the Southern Silk Road". In today's Pingle, we can still see the historical footprint - ancient streets, ancient temple, ancient bridges, ancient trees, ancient weir, ancient lanes, ancient roads, ancient customs, ancient songs... The scenery outside Pingle ancient town is even more breathtaking: Lugou Natural Scenic Area, Jinhua Mountain Scenic Area, Jinjigou Scenic Area, Catalpa Mountain Scenic Area and Qin and Han Dynasties Ancient Road Scenic Area, all of which are the classics of human civilization.

Pingle is located in the southwest of Qionglai City under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is the largest organized town in Qionglai City. The whole town covers an area of 70 square kilometers, including 1.28 square kilometers of market town area. The magic of Pingle lies in the fact that a small area has interpreted the rich and splendid historical civilization of China.

On the Silk Road in the south, the sound of horses' hooves and the ringing of brass bells seemed to reverberate. In the ancient Shu road in southern Sichuan, it seems that the flags of the Shu army are still flying. Between the stone market, it seems that the romantic love of Sima Xiangru and zhuo Wenjun is still inheriting. Jinhua Mountain, hidden by the bamboo sea, seems to tell the myth of "the unity of three religions". Green mountains and clear waters in the grooves and valleys seem to reflect the wisdom of Cai Lun's descendants...

Located in the West Sichuan Plain, Pingle Ancient Town has a subtropical humid climate, with an average annual temperature of about 16°C and an annual precipitation of about 1，300 mm. It is a shallow mound landform, with mountains, hills and flat grounds accounting for one third each. The town has a mild climate, abundant rainfall and abundant groundwater resource. The whole town and neighboring towns are rich in bamboos. As early as the Song Dynasty Pingle Town is a famous paper township. Surrounded by mountains, it is like a small basin from a bird's eye view from above.
