Longshuixia Fissure Gorge, an important part of "Wulong Karst" World Natural Heritage site, is located in Xiannu(Fairy) Mountain Town, Wulong District, Chongqing, 15 kilometers away from the county seat of Wulong. It is a typical karst landscape formed by the orogenic movement tens of millions of years ago. It can be said that watching the Longshuixia Fissure Gorge, we can know the geological changes of millions of years. The canyon is 5 kilometers long, the tour route is about 2 kilometers, the valley is 200 to 500 meters deep, the scale is grand and majestic. The scenic area is exquisite with beautiful scenery. Deep valley, steep cliffs, original vegetation, flying waterfalls and springs, strong current river and deep pools is the characteristics. The Milky Way Waterfall, nine beaches and eighteen ponds, Dragon Cave are the iconic landscapes.
The high mountains, steep peaks, valleys and flowing water in the scenic area form a perfect landscape picture. The gorge is deep, twists and turns with towering rock. The fissure gorge is composed of three sections: the entrance fissure, the halfway cave and the exit isthmus. Longshuixia Fissure Gorge is a good ecological tourism and adventure tourism scenic spot. Perfect facilities has been built such as the sightseeing plank road, sightseeing elevator, parking lot and reception hall.
Wulong Karst Tourist Area is located in Wulong District of Chongqing. With a rare natural landscape of karst, it includes karst caves, sinkhole, fissure, canyons, peak clusters, alpine grassland and so on. It has a variety of colorful vacation, leisure, entertainment and sports items as well as the unique folk customs of Tujia, Miao and Gelao minorities.
