Baidi City Scenic Spot is located in the west of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River where Yufu County was set up in the Han Dynasty(202BC-8AD). It is the local political, economic, cultural center as well as trade and trade material distribution center, golden waterway of the Yangtze River and the Yuba Highway cross the territory. The Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway under construction also passes through the scenic spot and has two exits from the east and west. The Lotus Pond and other areas within the territory are one of the planning points for the Three Gorges tourism heliport with obvious geographical advantages and convenient transportation.

In December 2015, Baidi City Scenic Spot was selected as one of the 30 best new tourist landscapes in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

The Scenic Area Management Committee takes charge of one community and eight administrative villages of Yong 'an Town and Baidi Town, covering an area of 53.7 square kilometers with population of 37,125 people. The lowest is 175 meters and the highest is 1200 meters above sea level. It has abundant rainfall and high relative humidity. Tourism and ecological agriculture are the leading industries. 

In the area, there are many cultural landscapes such as Baidi City, Eight Array figures, Du fu Cottage, Tang City, Song City, Yidoumen Ancient City Gate, Kuimen Ancient Elephant Museum, Covered Bridge of Wind and Rain, etc. There are abundant natural landscapes such as Chijia Mountain, Baiyan Mountain, Kuimen Mountain and Swan Lake. Among them, Baidi City Scenic Spot is a 4A scenic spot and Swan Lake Scenic Spot is 2A scenic spot.

Baidi City, located in Fengjie County Chongqing on the Baidi Mountain. The construction area is 1,785 square meters, the main building is 245 meters above sea level. The Baidi City is actually a group of temple buildings dating back to the late Western Han Dynasty. At that time, Gongsun Shu was in charge of the State of Shu and named himself as Baidi(White Emperor). He built a city on the Baidi Mountain which was called Baidi City. Gongsun Shu was defeated by Wu Han, the top military officer. Later generations built a temple in the south of Baidi City to offer sacrifices for him. This is the Baidi City.

The Baidi Temple is located on Mount Baidi at the mouth of Qutang Gorge. Looking from a distance, pavilions dotted in the lush green trees. There are mainly ancient buildings such as Tuo Gu Hall, Ming Liang Hall, Wuhou Temple and Stargazing Pavilion, as well as visiting sites such as East and West Forest of Steles, Hanging Coffin Exhibition Room, Cultural Relics Exhibition Room, Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Room and Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Furniture Exhibition Room. Baidi City is an important cultural landscape on the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and is now a key cultural relic protection unit in Chongqing.
